Our 12 bursary students, and their parents, have been hard at work at home with both their online studies and doing their bit for their communities. Zaylin’s mom, Ulandi Abrahams, has sewn 300 face-masks for people in the Hangberg community. And thanks to the facilitating of former chelo chairperson, Iris Henkel, all our chelo families have been registered with the Hout Bay Food Project. In partnership with Yebofresh and HBUFC, the project has ensured our families receive food packages during lock-down. Hout Bay truly looks after its own.
As home studies continue, please consider a one-off or recurring donation to chelo. We are committed to providing our chelo kids with data throughout lock-down, to ensure they keep up with the curriculum.
